On the surface, J-Triumf is just a regular American guy. He loves hip-hop music, basketball, cars, video games, and getting drunk off his ass. However, he doesn’t actually like talking about any of that…instead, he wants to talk about THE CRAZY WORLD OF JAPANESE IDOLS! More specifically, the idols of the long-running super-collective known as Hello! Project.

This blog was created to have a gathering place for some of my crazy perspectives on the happenings of H!P that would be better dumped into a single spot rather than awkwardly scattered and lost around discussion forums. I’ll be taking light-hearted jabs at my favorite members, making ridiculous comparisons and references to seemingly unrelated things, doing some shameless plugs for any remixes I happen to make, and occasionally put up a media review that may or may not be influenced by Smirnoff vodka.

The title of the blog comes from this video, from which I’ve been using a screen shot as a silly reply in chatrooms and forums:

My favorite H!P members (past and current) are Ai Takahashi, Ai Kago, Hitomi Yoshizawa, Junjun, Rika Ishikawa, Erina Mano, Kanon Suzuki, Riho “CIDER” Sayashi, Yulina Yurina Kumai, Miyabi Natsuyaki, Maimi “HEAT” Yajima, and Airi “GSX1300R” Suzuki. Some of my favorite non-H!P music artists include Kanye West, Hikaru Utada, Rage Against the Machine, MC Frontalot, and Styles of Beyond. and myself

Updates to come on a semi-regular basis…meaning whenever the fuck I feel like it.
